Photo: Prehistoric Undersea Sex Was No Fluke



Ancient undersea sex was far more common than previously thought, scientists revealed in a February 2009 paper.

Embryos found in fossils of placoderms (that's Austrophyllolepis, a type of placoderm, above) suggest that a diverse group of fish were mating via sexual intercourse.
