Photo: Solar Activity to Have Lowest High in 90 Years?



A video still of the sun shows a nearly blank disk on June 2, 2009. But the sun is now starting to wake up after an unexpectedly long quiet spell, solar experts said in May 2009.

The latest prediction from NASA calls for a peak of 90 sunspots in 2013—the lowest high on record since the 1920s.
