Photo: Venomous Fish Far Outnumber Snakes, Other Vertebrates, Study Says



A venomous lionfish spreads its deadly fins in Polynesian waters. A new evolutionary study suggests that there are some 1,200 species of venomous fish—more than all other venomous vertebrates combined.
