Photo: Hurricane Update: Slower Season Predicted, but U.S. "Not Off the Hook"



Tropical storm Alberto made landfall in Florida on June 13, one of only three named storms to form in the Atlantic Basin so far this hurricane season.

Federal U.S. forecasters have updated their forecast to call for three or four major hurricanes in 2006, instead of the four to six originally predicted.
