Photo: NASA Scrambles to Find Root of Hubble Glitches



A pair of unrelated anomalies brought remote repairs to the Hubble Space Telescope, seen above, to a screeching halt on October 17, 2008.

NASA engineers had been trying to revive the telescope after a data formatter, which sends science information to Earth, failed in September.
