Photo: Proteins Help Monarch Butterflies Find Mexico, Canada



A couple of monarch butterflies are on a tree at the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve in central Mexico in November 2007.

Scientists have found genetic hints about how the butterflies use the sun as a compass in their annual migration between Canada and Mexico.
