Photo: Weekend Sky Show Starts With Moon-Venus-Mars Grouping



From June 19 to 21, 2009, the crescent moon will seem to make a series of cosmic pit stops as it hovers near several planets and a star cluster in the predawn skies. Weather permitting, this chain of conjunctions, seen above in an illustration, will be easily visible to the naked eye.
