Photo: "Nazi Twins" a Myth: Mengele Not Behind Brazil Boom?



In the remote Brazilian town of Cândido Godói, children of multiple births abound—such as these local triplets in an undated photo.

Recent reports have suggested that 1960s experiments by former Nazi doctor Josef Mengele spurred the profusion of twins, but a November 2009 study suggests nothing more than unadulterated genetics is at work.
