Photo: Florida's Wild Rivers Increasingly Polluted, Experts Say



Clear water bubbles to the surface of Manatee Springs, one of the spring systems that feed the Suwannee River in northwestern Florida. Contaminants ranging from farm runoff to the bug repellent DEET are appearing at increased levels in many of the springs, which experts say threatens the health of the pristine river.
