Photo: Ancient Apelike Fossil Not Human Ancestor, Study Finds



The skull of "Little Foot" emerges from the flowstones of a cave in South Africa in 2001. A new study of the skeleton says that the fossil is more than a million years younger than had been previously thought, suggesting that it might not be a direct human ancestor.
