Photo: Ancient Small People on Palau Not Dwarfs, Study Says



Ancient Palauan skulls—such as the one seen above at the Chelechol ra Orrak burial site—are small but within a normal human size range, according to an August 2008 study that challenges previous research suggesting dwarfism occurred in the western Pacific island-nation.
