Photo: Space Shuttle Lands Safely, Despite Damage



NASA's space shuttle Endeavour releases its drag chute as it rolls down the runway at Florida's Kennedy Space Center on August 21, 2007.

Amid concerns about a gouged tile and a hurricane threatening ground control, the shuttle landed safely a day ahead of its original schedule.
