Photo: More Than 1,500 Stolen Afghan Artifacts Return to Kabul

The British government, helped by the National Geographic Society and the British Red Cross, has returned 3.4 tons of stolen Afghan antiquities confiscated during the past six years from luggage at London's Heathrow Airport.

Among the youngest of the more than 1,500 artifacts: a 100-year-old wooden pen case filled with letters written in Dari (above).
