Photo: Nanotech Find Earns Two Europeans Nobel in Physics



German Peter Grünberg (left) and Frenchmen Albert Fert (right) today were announced the winners of the 2007 Nobel Prize in Physics.

The scientists independently discovered giant magnetoresistance, the phenomenon that makes modern-day hard-drive technology possible.
