Photo: Study Warned of China Quake Risk Nearly a Year Ago



A map included in a July 2007 study shows active fault lines in the region where a devastating earthquake struck China's Sichuan Province on May 12, 2008. In the study, researchers warned—with what now seems like eerie foresight—that the Beichuan region was ripe for a major quake.
