Photo: NASA "On Track" for 2020 Human Moon Mission



NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter sails above the moon in an artist's rendering. The new spacecraft, slated to launch on October 28, 2008, will search the lunar surface for safe landing and outpost sites.

At a December 10, 2007, teleconference NASA officials announced that they are "on track" to send humans back to the moon by 2020.
