Photo: Will Grasslands Overtake U.S. Forests Due to Warming?

Climate Change could push grasslands to parts of the United States currently covered in forest, according to a study that says more extreme weather would shift the boundaries between different types of ecosystems.

The findings were presented on August 5, 2008, at a meeting of the Ecological Society of America.
