U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama teaches Sesame Street Muppets how to plant vegetables on May 5, 2009, during a taping for the first episode of the show's 40th-anniversary season.

The episode kicks off a two-year environmentally themed "curriculum" for the preschooler-oriented series.
