Photo: Stardust's Comet Clues Reveal Early Solar System

This composite image of comet Wild 2 was taken by the Stardust probe during a close approach in January 2004. The material brought back to Earth from Wild 2 has begun to reveal clues to the solar system's origins, scientists say.
