Photo: Cheetahs Suffering More Fatal Crashes During Chases, Experts Say

A female cheetah chases an impala ram into some brush at about 50 miles an hour (80 kilometers an hour) on a South African reserve.

The cheetah suffered fatal wounds from the thorny brush not long after this picture was taken, making her one of a growing number of the cats that experts say are experiencing injuries during high-speed hunts.
