Photo: Ancient Egypt Settlement Sheds Light on Everyday Life

The remains of an ancient Egyptian mud-brick settlement have been uncovered near the temple of Edfu, archaeologists announced in July 2008.

The settlement provides a rare firsthand glimpse into daily life in ancient Egypt, a subject that until now was known mostly from historical documents.
