Photo: "Blackbeard's Ship" Wreck to Get Protection From Currents, Hurricanes

Blackbeard's ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, as depicted in the National Geographic Channel feature Blackbeard: Terror at Sea.

The shipwreck thought to be the remains of the Queen Anne's Revenge was discovered in 1996 off the coast of North Carolina. Engineers are now constructing a berm of sand near the wreckage to protect it from ocean currents and hurricanes.
