Photo: Critics Take Aim at Plan for "Nonfatal" Deer Hunt

A new hunting association says it is going ahead with plans for "nonfatal" hunting tournaments where white-tailed deer will be shot with tranquilizer darts instead of bullets. But the tournament is drawing fire from animal-welfare groups worried about the safety of the tranquilizers and from other pro-hunting leagues concerned about the integrity of the sport.
