Photo: Controversial Seal Hunt Delayed 2nd Year Due to Ice Breakup



Another year of thin ice in Canada's Gulf of St. Lawrence is killing thousands of harp seal pups, who are unable to swim well in their first few weeks.

The poor ice conditions have delayed the area's annual seal hunt for the second year in a row—but animal welfare groups say the hunt should be called off completely.
