Photo: Alexander the Great's "Crown," Shield Discovered?A new analysis of a tomb excavated in Greece in the 1970s suggests that it is the last resting place of Alexander the Great's half brother and not his father, as was previously believed. The new interpretation may mean that artifacts found in the tombs, including a shield, "crown," and scepter, once belonged to Alexander the Great himself. Illustration by Tom Lovell/NGS
