Photo: Meteorite's Organic Matter Older Than the Sun, Study Says

Alan Hildebrand of the University of Calgary in Canada holds an ice-encased fragment of the Tagish Lake meteorite.

Organic globules found in the pristine meteorite could be older than the sun and might offer a glimpse into the formation of the solar system and how life on Earth first arose.
