Photo: T. Rex's Oldest Ancestor Discovered in China



Scientists recently discovered the earliest known ancestor of Tyrannosaurus rex at a fossil site in China.

The archaeologists say that the 160-million-year-old animal had simple feathers and an elaborate head crest, which might have been used in mating displays.
