Photo: Santa Fe Tops 2007 List of Most Endangered Rivers



New Mexico's Santa Fe River, once a steady flowing tributary of the Rio Grande, now runs dry for most of the year due to continuing water extraction. The waterway has earned the dubious title of America's most endangered river of 2007 from the conservation group American Rivers.
