Photo: Satellite-Photo Atlas Uses Digital Globe to Show Eco Damage



Satellite images from 1972 and 2001 show how Africa's Lake Chad has been drying up over the past few decades.

A new "layer" of United Nations images in the popular digital globe Google Earth allows users to see this and other pairs of images showing environmental degradation at a hundred sites around the world.
