Photo: Some European Grasslands May Resist Warming



A grassy hill in Buxton, England, sits covered with rain shelters, heating cables, and automated irrigation lines that have been simulating the effects of climate change since 1993.

A new study of data collected between 1994 and 2006 shows that the grassland ecosystem is remarkably resistant to the temperature and precipitation changes predicted in a warming world.
