Photo: Humans Wore Shoes 40,000 Years Ago, Fossil Suggests



Delicate toe bones seen above from a 40,000-year-old human are indicative of habitual shoe-wearing, according to a study in the July issue of the Journal of Archaeological Science.

The finding suggests humans were wearing footwear 10,000 years earlier than previously believed.
