The space shuttle Discovery safely touched down at the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, on July 17, 2006.

Science experiments started during the 13-day mission will help better prepare astronauts to stay healthy during long-distance space flights to the moon and Mars.
