Photo: First U.S. Tsunami Shelter Planned as Earthquake Looms



As the threat of a major earthquake and a resulting tsunami looms over the Pacific Northwest, the Oregon town of Cannon Beach may become the first in the United States to build a tsunami shelter (pictured, a 2008 conceptual design for the city hall), experts said in October 2009.
