Photo: Tiger Habitat Plummeted 40 Percent in 10 Years, Survey Finds



A tiger growls in a sanctuary at the Royal Chitwan National Park in Nepal. The Terai Arc region straddling Nepal's border with India is one of the few areas where wild tigers still thrive in relatively healthy numbers. According to a new survey of the big cats, tiger habitat has shrunk by 40 percent in just ten years.
