Photo: Hellish Exoplanet Rains Hot Pebbles, Has Lava Oceans



COROT 7-B (pictured in an artist's rendering) is the first rocky planet ever discovered outside our solar system.

The exoplanet may have a hellish environment where hot pebbles rain down on oceans of lava, according to a new computer model in an October 2009 study.
