Photo: Steamier Earth Likely, Due to Global Warming



Human activities such as coal burning (above, a coal plant in Düsseldorf, Germany in 2006) and oil production are steaming up the planet, a new study says.

Scientists expect the rising humidity to cause heavier rains, stronger hurricanes, and increased heat stress in humans.
