Photo: Will Doctors Diagnose by Listening to Your Cells?



A 3-D image of yeast cells. Recent research has shown that yeast cells vibrate at audible frequencies and make different sounds under different conditions. The discovery may one day allow doctors to listen in on cells in their patients' bodies, keeping an ear open for disease.
