Photo: Korean Mummies Reveal Medical Clues, Love Poems



A body found near Handong is just one of many exquisitely preserved mummies recently unearthed in South Korea.

The unique, accidentally preserved remains are providing insights into early Korean culture and may even help uncover new treatments for modern diseases such as hepatitis B.
