Photo: NASA Budget Diverts Funds From Science to Spaceships



NASA unveiled a new spaceship last September that will be part of the next generation of spacecraft to take astronauts back to the moon. The new lunar lander, pictured above, would accommodate four crew members.

Projects such as the mission to the moon come at the expense of scientific exploration, including the search for extraterrestrial life, in NASA's 2007 budget.
