Photo: New York Seas to Rise Twice as Much as Rest of U.S.

With the skyline of lower Manhattan in the background, the grand luxury
liner Queen Mary steams through New York Harbor in 1958. By 2100, New York sea levels could rise as much as 20 inches (51 centimeters), putting lower Manhattan at particular risk of flooding, a March 2009 study says.
