Photo: "Electronic Tongue" Mimics Human Taste Organ



A postage stamp-size piece of paper (pictured) dotted with colored pigments can measure the human sense of sweetness, an August 2009 study says.

The discovery may inspire future technologies designed to detect diseases in humans, among other applications, experts say.
