Photo: Giant Snails, Once a Delicacy, Overrun Brazil



The African giant snail, originally brought to Brazil as a new twist on escargot, has flourished in the wild.

The mollusk can be a vector for human parasitic diseases, and scientists fear it may overtake native snails' habitats.
