Photo: Ernesto Weakens Over Florida



The remnants of tropical storm Ernesto—now a tropical depression—move across the Florida peninsula on August 30.

Forecasters think Ernesto could regain tropical storm status with peak winds exceeding 40 miles (64 kilometers) an hour when it moves back over the Atlantic Ocean tonight.
