Photo: Alien Species Invading Antarctica, Experts Warn



Emperor penguins rest near the ocean in Antarctica. Scientists say that some penguins and other Antarctic animals are becoming infected with bacteria from sewage at research stations—just one example of alien organisms causing harm to the icy continent's ecosystems.
