Photo: Global Warming Is Spurring Evolution, Study Says



Some populations of the European blackcap, pictured here, have changed their migration habits in response to warming climates.

Because migration patterns are embedded in the birds' genes, this change suggests that some animals are evolving to match changing conditions caused by global warming, scientists say.
