Photo: Porpoises Starving in Europe Due to Ocean Warming



A harbor porpoise lies dead on a Scottish beach after dying of hypothermia caused by starvation.

A new study of mounting porpoise deaths in the U.K. suggests that the marine mammals are dying because the sand eels on which they feed are in short supply due to ocean warming.
