Photo: Egyptian Writing "Scanned" Using High-Tech Methods



A photomosaic of an Egyptian column from 1250 B.C. now housed at the British Museum in London. The column has been "unrolled" using new software designed to electronically analyze ancient inscriptions. Some hieroglyphs on the column have been digitally traced in yellow.
