Photo: Deep-Sea Fish Trap Sheds Light on Ocean's Slowest Denizens



A new high-tech trap, seen here, is allowing scientists for the first time to capture deep-sea fish and bring them to the surface alive for study.

The device, developed at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, is already shedding light on the fish's slow-as-molasses lifestyles.
