Photo: Shorebirds Face Extinction Due to Crab Decline



A young horseshoe crab in Cape May, New Jersey, comes ashore to molt in the sand. Biologists are concerned that these crabs are in such short supply that the survival of some migratory birds, which feed on the crabs' eggs, is threatened.
