Photo: "Frog-amander" Fossil May Be Amphibian Missing Link



An illustration depicts Gerobatrachus hottoni, an ancient amphibian that had traits of both frogs and salamanders. The animal, found in a 290-million-year-old fossil, suggests that the two amphibian groups shared a common ancestor, scientists say.
